23rd National Conference on Health, Productivity, & Human Capital
Optimizing Productivity:
Leading with a Culture of Health
The National Business Group on Health and its Institute on Health, Productivity, and Human Capital hosted the 23rd National Conference on Health, Productivity, and Human Capital on October 13-15, 2009 in Philadelphia, PA. Thanks to the contributions of our sponsors, speakers, and participants, this year's conference "Optimizing Productivity: Leading With a Culture of Health" was a great success with over 550 in attendance!
At this year's Conference, participants learned about new practical science, research and evidence-based solutions benefiting employers. Specifically, the conference highlighted employer best practices focused on managing health and productivity in a challenging economy, quantifying the effects of medical treatment on absence management and program design, health and productivity's role in the global marketplace, and governmental changes in healthcare legislation and reform.
Conference Sessions featured special addresses from Dr. Stewart Friedman, founder of Total Leadership, a program devoted to improving performance in all parts of life, and Dame Carol Black, the United Kingdom's Director of Health and Work.
This year's conference also featured Day One Intensive Workshops. These three-hour workshops provided attendees the opportunity to engage with academicians, employers and industry leader speakers on specific health and productivity topics. The workshops were action-oriented and included takeaways to include implementation steps for business solutions, resources for further assistance and follow-up opportunities supported by the Business Group.
More information on conference sessions is provided in the agenda section of the website.
Save The Date! We look forward to seeing you at the 24th National Conference on Health, Productivity, and Human Capital, September 14-16, 2010 at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC.
