Consumer-Directed Health Care: Success Stories from the Large Employers That Made it Happen
The National Leadership Committee on Consumer-Directed Health Care and Consumerism (NLCCDHCC) hosted a pre-conference session at Business Health Agenda 2009 on consumer-directed health care. Four “early adopters” took participants on their CDHC journey - health accounts, employee engagement, health communications/marketing, and ultimately, creating better health care consumers in their workforce.
The session also included a brief presentation on “lessons learned” based on the experiences of the NLCCDHCC members companies, as well as a summary on how employees make the decisions they do, what sources they turn to, what communications they review and value, based on Business Group consumer research.
